Restoring Our Republic Precinct by Precinct!

The precinct chairman position is probably the most important leadership position in our county.  It is the leadership role closest to the people and the only position where you are elected by the voters in your party within your precinct.

The term of a precinct chair, precinct vice-chair, secretary and treasurer is two years, and they are elected at the regular biennial Precinct Meeting of the qualified Republican voters of each precinct called by the County Chairman, or as provided in the Rules of the Oklahoma Republican Party.
If you’re interested in serving as a precinct chair, but you live in a precinct whose position has already been filled, you can put your name on a list to run for your own precinct at the next biennial meeting.

Responsibilities of a precinct committee include:

  • Serving as or recruiting voters as an election inspector,  judge or clerk
  • Promoting and growing the local county party
  • Working to elect Republican candidates to office
  • Getting people in the precinct  registered to vote
  • Turning out voters in the precinct
  • Attending Republican County Committee meetings
  • Scheduling Precinct Committee meetings
  • Scheduling neighborhood events
  • Keeping voters in your precinct informed about important current events at the city, county, state and federal level
  • Activating voters in your precinct when it becomes necessary
